Oregon Trail Pony Club has been around a long time, and is full of talented young riders who love to be involved with their horses! Pony club is the ideal place to learn how to take care of your horse, ride safely, and have fun. If you're looking for any of the above things, Oregon Trail is the place for you!
Every month there are mounted meetings on the 1st and 3rd weeks held at Sleepy Hollow Farm, where the members are instructed by Kathy Hughes and Janice Dill. Both instructors are highly qualified and teach with skill and tact.
Once a month there is an unmounted meeting, where we typically meet at a member's house and go over plans and budgeting, usually enjoying dessert or dinner before or after. This meeting is for all, and the members young and old have their own input.
The club usually sends one to two teams to each rally within the region, and also gives the riders choices and opportunities to move up in their ratings, whether it's in club or regional.
